Before You Arrive.

  • No - just turn up on the morning of a Practice Day from 9am, sign on and pay the appropriate fee. It’s as simple as that.

  • Yes. Riders need a current ACU licence (annual licence £35 from ACU) or an ACU day licence, which can be purchased on the day (£10 for adults, £5 for youth). These licences provide the insurance required to ride at MTC.

  • Yes. All Practice Days operate under an ACU Premier Trials Permit.

Motorcycles, Gear & Safety.

  • Only Trials motorcycles fitted with Trials tyres & Trials regulated exhaust systems. The rider is responsible for the worthiness of the motorcycle they ride, all controls are in good working order & state of repair.

  • A suitable helmet and motorcycle boots must always be worn when riding at the centre.

  • Yes, youth riders are welcome with the correct ACU licence and suitable supervision. All riders must wear appropriate safety gear.

  • All riders must wear a suitable helmet and motorcycle boots, keep their bike in safe working order and ride within their ability. Please respect other riders, follow marshal instructions and stay within designated riding areas. Markers can be used for setting your own sections but must be taken away afterwards. Youth riders require supervision, and all visitors should respect the land and livestock.

  • Gates open at 9am and riding runs from 10am to 3pm. Breakfast baps and drinks are available from 9am.

  • Practice Days usually run in all conditions unless there is a safety concern. Any cancellations or changes will be posted on our social channels.

  • Absolutely. The venue is designed for all levels, from first-time riders to seasoned competitors. The loop has plenty of space to practise, explore and progress at your own pace.

  • Yes, spectators are welcome. Please stay in designated viewing areas and follow any guidance from marshals.

  • Yes, you’re welcome to bring and use markers - please just remember to take them away afterwards to avoid any risk to sheep on the farm once the event has finished.

  • Payments are taken on-site. Exact payment methods may vary, so please bring cash as well as card where possible.

    • Adults - £25

    *An ACU Day Licence is included in the entry fee for non-licence holders.

On The Day.

Facilities & Extras.

  • We don’t offer mechanical services, but riders may bring their own tools and equipment for basic adjustments.

  • Yes, there is ample parking at the venue. Please follow marshal instructions on arrival.

  • Yes, spectators are welcome. Please stay in designated viewing areas and follow any guidance from marshals.

  • Yes, you’re welcome to bring and use markers - please just remember to take them away afterwards to avoid any risk to sheep on the farm once the event has finished.

  • Yes. A small selection of Magnum Trials Centre merchandise is available to buy on-site during Practice Days. Stock may vary throughout the year. These can be viewed on the homepage.

  • Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the venue, provided they remain on a lead at all times. Please ensure dogs are kept under control around riders, vehicles and nearby livestock.
