2025 Highlights - Our First Year at Magnum Trials Centre

A Strong Start to Our First Motorcycle Trials Season

February ’25 saw us open the gates at 9am, hoping someone would turn up for our first official Trials Practice Day. By 9.30am no one had arrived… then one by one the vans began rolling down the drive. By the end of the morning, 42 riders had joined us - all from just six weeks of social media promotion.

After two months of energy-sapping, wet and cold offroad groundwork, the Magnum Trials Centre was officially open.

Building Terrain for Every Rider: Beginner to Expert

With ages and motorcycle trials abilities so varied, it was important to create something to challenge everyone. Listening to rider feedback, throughout March and April we brought rocks in from across the farm to build a new man-made zone. It proved a hit with many and another box ticked.

Hosting Our First ACU-Supported Event

With the help of Stratford Upon Club’s George Marshall, June saw the first round of their summer trials championship held at MTC.

The focus was a fun, less challenging course, which also gave us the chance to open up further areas of the farm not currently used on practice days.

Expanding the Loop: More Offroad Terrain, More Challenge

Throughout the exceptionally hot summer months, we continued developing the venue.

Alongside the Valley (bank climbs), Parsons Piece (stream), Paddock (man-made zone), Cover (wooded coppice, fallen trees and rock steps), and West Cliff (long wooded climbs), we added East Cliff via new bridged stream crossings.

This area brings more technical challenges on steeper banks surrounded by unforgiving trees. The stone-based ground shifts character with the seasons:

  • Summer – some areas feel like riding on marbles

  • Winter – the same sections demand more throttle control and precision to find grip

Growing Support from the Motorcycle Trials Community

As word spread and interest grew, we secured support and partnerships with key companies in the sport, for which we are very grateful. You can learn more about them here.

Consistent Numbers All Year: First Sunday of Every Month

Running on the first Sunday of every month is essential for the working farm, and we knew this would occasionally mean date clashes.

Even so, visitor numbers remained consistent across the year - a fantastic sign for a new ACU-backed venue.

Ending 2025 on a High: TRS Launch Event

November was our closing practice day of 2025. We could not only be proud of our first season, but what a way to finish!

Steve Saunders (former World Championship contender and ten-time consecutive British Champion) of TRS Motorcycles UK chose Magnum Trials Centre as a UK venue to launch the 2026 TRS model range.

With the support of fellow partners BVM-Moto, they combined to promote & offer our visitors the chance to ‘test before you buy’. This gesture saw 80 riders join us at our final 2025 event & the icing on the cake for our maiden season.
